Attorney Bio Leslie S. Stryker Viehman
While in law school, Leslie served as President of the student chapter of Defense Research Institute for one year. She also served as research assistant to Professor Richard Leiter, assisting in updating and adding chapters for the seventh edition of National Survey of State Laws. Leslie was also on Moot Court Board and was a coordinator of the Grether Moot Court Competition. In her final year of law school, Leslie served as student representative to the Young Lawyers Division of the Omaha Bar Association.
Leslie has experience in the firm’s litigation and appellate practices. Leslie has successfully defended clients in civil litigation throughout Nebraska and Iowa. With regard to her appellate practice, Leslie has successfully briefed multiple cases to the Nebraska Court of Appeals and Nebraska Supreme Court and has successfully briefed and argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Leslie was selected to the Great Plains Rising Stars List by Super Lawyers from 2016 through 2024. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state were selected. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Leslie worked for the firm in a variety of litigation support roles. She has served the firm as a runner, legal assistant, and law clerk. Her service in these critical roles has enabled her to better serve her clients and provide invaluable insight into firm operations in general. In total, she has approximately 20 years of experience with the firm.
In her free time, Leslie enjoys spending time with her family and pets, being outside, reading good books, and cooking good food.
